“Simply lovely,” This was our motto about Meagan and Matt’s May wedding. We just adored how this pretty bride’s design was tied into all the tiny details from the pale pink & sage paper accents, to the natural table numbers and birch containers, to that dreamy chiffon dress. With Meagan’s design adjectives of ‘southern, natural and romantic,’ we had a blast creatively incorporating baby’s breath into bridesmaids’ bouquets, infusing Spanish moss for a bit of the south and playing with an array of the soft hues and lush textures of the gush-worthy peony and cabbage rose. This wedding provided a perfect example of how breathtaking can also be sweet and natural…Oh, this truly was a simply lovely wedding. ** Designer’s Tip: Never shy away from the unexpected! The subtle use of succulents in this design added the perfect complement to the natural wooden details and the delight of the unexpected.

English Garden Hues: Blues, Whites and Pinks
Stephanie and Kelly’s fall 2012 wedding was all about the details and incorporating the couple’s personality into their big day. What a delight it was to design for a couple that was playful enough to incorporate their signature margarita drink into glass beakers that represented their passion for science. Now, that’s detail! With Stephanie’s vision of blue incorporated into a lush, delicate design we had a blast complimenting all the details of the coordinating aesthetics all about the party. Soft pastels and lush arrangements presented an elegant appeal. A strikingly large moss arch, fastened in white hydrangea, served a dual purpose for the ceremony and the reception. Oh, do we love when our brides add statement pieces to their design! The overall look resembled an English garden complimented by personal details and delightful color coordination. What a delight!

Designer’s Tip: 1.) See the arch above? A visual statement piece like this is a smart way to draw the eye away from which you wish something not to be seen and draw it to something you love. 2.) Oh, those hydrangeas! This pretty, lush bloom is a designer’s dream when you wish to “fill” space in a delicate way.

Luxe & Lovely: Soft Pinks and Whites
June is just around the (wedding) bend and a month that makes us as giddy as our pending brides-to-be. Lisa & Dean’s 2012 June wedding was a day of perfection out at Figure 8 Yacht Club. Lisa’s soft color palette of pale pinks and striking whites was the perfect color story amongst the crisp blue water and flourishing green landscape. The best part for us was playing with all those sensual orchids… my, oh my! The overall aesthetic captured the couple’s sophisticated style and transformed the room into a fragrant visual of romance.

…Swoon.
Fun Design Fact: Did you know this delicate looking flower above is in fact very durable? That’s right! Orchids are not only breathtaking but ideal for indoor and outdoor settings.
