Shabby Chic Wedding Design: Pink & White

June 25th, 2014

indigosilver-weddings-007-0365This spring wedding was all about lush, romantic flowers and rustic details. Garden roses, hydrangea, and sweet pea galore set the stage for gorgeous garden blooms packed perfectly in a pale palette. Hands down, this wedding design was true shabby chic style! With a soft palette of grey, white, and pink, the rustic accents of wooden containers and sea grass placemats were the perfect complement to this delightful wedding. What was our favorite design detail? The Provencal buffet table above adorned with the galvanized bucket full of baby’s breath, roses, hydrangea and greens…utterly divine. Enjoy!

The Delight of Coral and White: A Downtown Wedding

May 14th, 2014

julielivingstonphotography-3736 copySome weddings are too good not to share twice, and this lovely celebration is one of them. Just look at that coral color above —accented by the most charming wooden table number ever— we know you’d sit right down! From our beautiful bride to the final detail of the pale pink monogrammed menu board, this wedding was bursting with color and style. Our beautiful bride, Laura, delivered detail with a gush-worthy punch. Taking the soft, feminine elements of romantic coral and white blooms and accessorizing them with modernly natural textures of wood and burlap. The outcome was as breathtaking and as timeless as our bride and groom were themselves. What really caught our eye? It was Laura’s effortless chic style. That show-stopping hem of her dress was as ruffled as our beloved blooms and the “Mr. & Mrs.” chairs were simply sublime. Blissful.

DESIGNER’S TIP: A “Pop” of color goes a long way. Look carefully at the picture below, Laura gifted her bridesmaids with turquoise earrings. This is a great example, as is our incorporation of coral in the flowers, that a punch of color can still be subtle for a softer appeal. It’s in how you choose to use the color that will decipher its varying degree of soft  to bold. Enjoy. julielivingstonphotography-4369 copy julielivingstonphotography-4396 copy - Copy julielivingstonphotography-3839 copy julielivingstonphotography-4433 copy - Copyjulielivingstonphotography-3726 copy julielivingstonphotography-3721 copy julielivingstonphotography-3714 copy julielivingstonphotography-4093 copy julielivingstonphotography-3810 copyjulielivingstonphotography-3855 copyjulielivingstonphotography-3715 copyjulielivingstonphotography-3742 copyTALENTED VENDOR ACCOLADES: Photography: Julie Livingston Photography, Event Coordination: Social Butterfly, Venue: 128 South

Southern Wedding Romance: Soft Pinks & Crisp Whites

June 12th, 2013

0261_Meagan_and_Matt_Theo_Milo_Photo“Simply lovely,” This was our motto about Meagan and Matt’s May Wilmington wedding. We just adored how this pretty bride’s design was tied into all the tiny details from the pale pink & sage paper accents, to the natural table numbers and birch containers, to that dreamy chiffon dress.  With Meagan’s floral design adjectives of ‘southern, natural and romantic,’ we had a blast creatively incorporating baby’s breath into bridesmaids’ bouquets, infusing Spanish moss for a bit of the south and playing with an array of the soft hues and lush textures of the gush-worthy peony and cabbage rose. This Wilmington wedding provided a perfect example of how breathtaking can also be sweet and natural…Oh, this truly was a simply lovely wedding. ** Designer’s Tip: Never shy away from the unexpected! The subtle use of succulents in this floral design added the perfect complement to the natural wooden details and the delight of the unexpected.  0061_Meagan_and_Matt_Theo_Milo_Photo0245_Meagan_and_Matt_Theo_Milo_Photo0542_Meagan_and_Matt_Theo_Milo_Photo0060_Meagan_and_Matt_Theo_Milo_Photo0513_Meagan_and_Matt_Theo_Milo_Photo0503_Meagan_and_Matt_Theo_Milo_Photo0525_Meagan_and_Matt_Theo_Milo_Photo0543_Meagan_and_Matt_Theo_Milo_Photo0498_Meagan_and_Matt_Theo_Milo_PhotoVENDOR ACCOLADES: Photo Credit: Theo Milo Photography, Planner: Social Butterfly Events, Venues: ceremony at Airlie Gardens and reception at 128 South

English Garden Hues: Blues, Whites and Pinks

May 29th, 2013

0041.Stephanie + KellyStephanie and Kelly’s fall 2012 wedding was all about the details and incorporating the couple’s personality into their big day. What a delight it was to design for a couple that was playful enough to incorporate their signature margarita drink into glass beakers that represented their passion for science. Now, that’s detail! With Stephanie’s vision of blue incorporated into a lush, delicate design we had a blast complimenting all the details of the coordinating aesthetics all about the party. Soft pastels and lush arrangements presented an elegant appeal.  A strikingly large moss arch, fastened in white hydrangea, served a dual purpose for the ceremony and the reception. Oh, do we love when our brides add statement pieces to their design! The overall look resembled an English garden complimented by personal details and delightful color coordination. What a delight! 0042.Stephanie + KellySONY DSCSONY DSC0028.Stephanie + Kelly0013.Stephanie + Kelly0044.Stephanie + KellySONY DSC0025.Stephanie + KellyDesigner’s Tip: 1.) See the arch above? A visual statement piece like this is a smart way to draw the eye away from which you wish something not to be seen and draw it to something you love.   2.) Oh, those hydrangeas! This pretty, lush bloom is a designer’s dream when you wish to “fill” space in a delicate way.

Color Story: Blissful Yellow

May 15th, 2013

0052We are so digging yellow…why yellow?…because it simply makes you happy. This cheerful hue adds that perfect “pop” of color to every occasion.  So, after a recent spring wedding- chalk full of sunshine yellow details- we knew it was time to shine some light on this great color and present a color story all about the sublime bliss of incorporating this festive color . Doesn’t it just make you smile?!

Yellow’s Color Story: Whether it be the main design inspiration or that perfect little pop of color in the details, this bold choice always adds the element of fun to a party. Blissful yellow was the main guest at Jessica & Brandon’s lovely spring wedding…even the sun came out to play. 00530036What’s the best thing about picking a color story? Remembering that your choice color comes in many, many great shades to choose from. We’re drooling over this trending Ombre style cake ranging from a soft shade of white to a buttery yellow hue. It’s so pretty, we wouldn’t even be tempted to eat it (maybe).  stylemepretty.comDon’t you just love when you get an “eye full” of the unexpected? Whether it be the bride & groom or one very sharp-looking wedding party, we’re giddy over adding a touch of playful flair to a bold statement color like yellow. Divine. Divine. Divine. e624eb3898906df3adb77682364f8d28brides.comIt’s all in the (yellow) details. Infusing your color story into the first elements your guests sees is just plain old fun, from the invitations to the wedding signs, creating a cohesive look is simply sublime.claremontcollection.combrooke4

Josh + Erica: Modern Romance

September 19th, 2012

July 28, 2012 – Wilmington NC

This wedding was extra special to us because it was one of our own, Erica a floral designer here at Fiore.  As you can see Erica’s favorite flower is the Juliet Cabbage Rose which was incorporated into the bouquets and reception flowers.  Astilbe, Hydrangea, Stock were just a few of the other flowers used in the guest tables.  Many of Erica’s friends pitch in to help with the details from copper pennies on the bouquets to the beautiful paper flowers on the napkin rings made by Fiore’s own Alia Schares.

Congratulations Josh and Erica!

Kelly + Ivan: Eclectic Style

June 6th, 2012

March 3, 2012 – 128 South

128 South provided the perfect location for Kelly and Ivan’s eclectic spring wedding. Kelly collected a variety of unique tins to use as centerpieces. We filled the centerpieces with Tulips, Peonies, Jonquils and Hyacinth.

Congratulations Kelly and Ivan!

Whitney + Steve : 128 South

March 9th, 2012

October 23, 2011 – 128 South

128 South provided the perfect setting for Whitney and Steve’s vintage wedding.  Whitney was looking for a vintage farmer’s market look.  We loved her very unique bouquet, she chose herbs, berries and chocolate cosmos.  Sunflowers and billy balls in mason jars and vintage vases completed her look.
