Ah, July, a month full of patriotic spirit, social gatherings, beach days, and color coordinated attire. It’s down right impossible not to fall in love with the excuse to embrace all things blue…especially this month! So, in honor of the coastal appeal of this timeless hue, July’s color inspiration is the ever-so-chic, always classic, navy blue! Let’s face it, this color is always on point—whether in event design or interior design—this classic color creates a variety of ideas with it’s universal appeal. Can you sense our stripe theme as well? The lovely Oscar de la Renta dress below was a second inspiration for July! Happy summer.
FIORE FUN FACT: Our whole team (literally, everyone at the shop) has a plethora of design & art experience, gathered from years of creative experience, so we’re always inspired by textiles, art, typography, color…so many wondrous things that capture our eyes as artists and we infuse into the designs. That, and a mega dose of happiness is what inspires us daily. Enjoy!

We’re a sucker for a man in a uniform; place him next to his glowing bride and bring on the tissues! Sarah and Dana’s fall 2012 wedding was one of timeless elegance and crisp, white details. The bride’s vision of a clean, sleek look was complementary to the couple themselves (literally, just look at them). Sarah’s round bouquet was bursting with a variety of roses and white ranunculus, as her bridesmaids carried white callas. The bride’s vision for ‘sleek’ was exemplified in the monochromatic white floral designs at her reception at the Country Club of Landfall. Understanding Sarah’s vision, and adding a touch of modern, we had a blast showcasing some of our most beloved flowers in glass vases to keep the room open and the look crisp. What was out favorite detail? Allowing each stunning, sophisticated flower to stand alone on display. This design detail allowed all the other design elements to ‘pop’ per say; just look at those chevron menu cards and those orchids…Simply Divine.
DESIGNER’S TIP: There’s nothing bland about white. Sarah’s wedding is a true example of creating a design to match the ‘feel’ of the party. We were able to keep the room airy and sleek by designing a monochromatic look and using varying glass vases for guests to see through. Her generous eye for detail (shown in the chargers, etc.) allowed her monochromatic vision to be a timeless showstopper. Essentially, we love a good design adjective.

Calling all mamas...Mother’s day is this weekend and we love celebrating mom! So as a mom, I knew it was the perfect time to share some simple, stylish ideas that my fellow mothers would appreciate. See the bouquet above? It’s what I call ‘Pink Peonie Perfection’, this flower is stunning, strong and enchanting. So, it is no wonder why I feel it is a direct reflection of moms everywhere. Peonies are delicate but never frail, they compliment any fellow flower but can also stand stunning alone, and they are utterly endearing. Check out these ideas below and become inspired, there’s something for everyone…and remember, we’re always here to help. Enjoy!
1.) Simple & Sweet: Never negate how far a bit of color and pretty paper can take you, a simple bloom wrapped easily in a band of colorful, patterned paper makes for the most delightful presentation. 2.) Why, hello gorgeous. This astounding amount of tulips (just a few bushels), set in one color palette and a galvanized water bucket, makes anyone mom wish to stay home and host all day long!3.)Cheerfully Dressed: Let mom wake up to color and whimsy with a band of ribbons cascading down a door. This is a great project for the pint size crew! And a fabulous surprise for mom. 4.) Garden Chic: Texture and abundance is key here, we love this birch vase (we use them a lot) full of all the wonder of a garden. And green thumb mama would swoon over this. 5.) A Card As Big As Mom’s Heart: So simple and enadearing! Take any color poster board, string (or ribbon) and let the kiddos have at it. Homemade can still come out chic if the design has structure. 6.) Cones + Carnations = Charm: Yes, we said it…carnations. This flowers doesn’t get much love, but as designers we know that a bushel of this very textured flower is brilliant for adding a bit of easy charm to decorative accents. These easy-to-make paper cones are a perfect example of thinking outside the box. 7.) Lastly… Nothing is a better treat than a Tussie Mussie (petite bouquet) of brilliant blooms for mom. How special would it be for her to receive a mini version of this bouquet we made below? There’s still time to create something special for mom, hopefully these ideas will inspire you a bit. We’re busy on the design floor building, creating and constructing some mighty pretty arrangement all in the name of (Mom) love if you need some help!
Happiest Mother’s Day wishes to all the lovely moms everywhere.

Inspired by our recent feature on the adorable blog “Every Last Detail” (and standing knee-deep in clouds of white hydrangea and bright green floral galore) this week’s post is all about this popular color combo’s ability to perk up every lovely detail. There is no doubt, nature’s green and white hues put a smile on every guests’ face...time after time.
1.) Nothing dresses a door better than an abundant hydrangea wreath. Charm….Charm…Charming!
2.) Ooooh, this lovely mix of orchids, freesia, cabbage roses, calla lilies and spray roses, accented by tiny pops of green, is the perfect presentation of divine elegance.3.) “Mums” the word on modern meets striking. 4.) Charm and contrast are at the forefront of this farm fresh design as bells, stock, ranunculus and hydrangea compliment the outdoorsy texture of pine and burlap.5.) It doesn’t get sweeter than this, green orchids truly do create the most charming halo for little flower girls. 6.) Who says wreaths on cars (or golf carts) are only for Christmas? We absolutely adore this over sized, very fun detail.7.) Never negate the timeless appeal of big blooms, abundance is never out of fashion when it comes to flowers (wink). 7.) This bouquet is a vision of timeless texture, perfectly fastened with a hint of tradition. 9.) Let’s not forget how appealing a well dressed groom can look dressed sharply in a charming array of spring flowers.
10.) Magnolia leafs are the perfect border to any door wreath, exuding sophistication and a boat load of southern charm. Oh, the appeal of white and green…It truly is one heck of a cheerful combo!

Lauren and Michael’s May 2012 wedding still leaves us giddy over all the attention to detail congenially fashioned together to give their guests a party they’d never forget (and we’re pretty sure they never will). Lauren’s vision of a simple, modern design full of abundance in the refreshing palette of green and white, accented by purple, allowed us the delightful opportunity to play. And oh boy, did we ever! Not a detail was missed from the twinkling willow branches climbing the tent poles with smilax, to the sumptuous hydrangea & viburnum dangling from the chandeliers, to the varying lush table arrangements mirroring the enthusiasm and elegance of the couple themselves. One of the most endearing detail was the couple’s request to infuse family traditions into their aesthetic, Lauren’s family prayer-book delicately fastened with two gardenias was southern sentiment at its best…sigh…now, this was a party!

September 15, 2012 – Brianna + Brian, Figure 8 Island NC
There is nothing more delightful than a lovely mix of blue hues offset by the complimenting contrast of white. Brianna and Brian “Tied the Knot” at Figure 8 Yacht Club with a crisp and classic aesthetic that left us pining to stay a wee bit longer and dance the night away. Brianna’s vision for incorporating a coastal, natural design was the perfect inspiration for her venue’s understated elegance and her nautical inspired details. From Brian’s seersucker suit, to the to-die-for monogrammed cake, to Brianna’s sumptuous bouquet, this wedding was simply breathtaking!
