Airlie Gardens Wedding ~ Wilmington NC

March 13th, 2016

Airlie Gardens was the perfect setting for this modern chic fall wedding. One of our favorite details was the head table inspired by Vincent an Gogh’s  Starry Night. Ayla’s bouquet was a combination of white  hydrangea,  garden roses and beautiful anemones.  Not even a rain storm could damper this beautiful Wilmington NC wedding.

Lush & Lovely: Pinks…Pinks…Coral!

0064 Katie and Josh Theo Milo PhotoDo you believe in love at first sight? When it comes to flowers, we do. Oh, the ongoing love affair of the Peony; this bloom is captured (24-7) on instagram feeds, magazine covers, and anywhere this flower blossoms. It clearly is a “true lady” amongst it’s fellow flowers; elegant, fragrant, and always welcome to a party. Combine this stunning bloom with a variety of roses, hydrangeas and coral ranunculus and you have one of our favorite bouquets of the new 2014 season! This lovely bouquet was the stylish vision of a beautiful bride’s love of lush blooms and a pop of color…we couldn’t have agreed more! We were so inspired, we squeezed in every delicate flower possible to create that perfect ‘sigh-worthy’ moment for our bride.

As for those peonies...whether in the bouquet or sitting pretty on the cake…this ruffled bloom was ready to party. Airlie Gardens – April 22, 2011

These Ohio natives came to Wilmington full of fun and style and ready to tie the knot. Their vintage and eclectic aesthetic is so sweet and personal that it won the hearts of the blogging gurus at Style Me Pretty earlier this year.  One of our favorite details is the charm bracelet around the bride’s bouquet; it was handmade by her family!  The groom adds his own flare with brightly colored, polka dotted socks.  Joanna and Jesse brought sunshine to a rainy day and exchanged vows in a small chapel tucked away in Airlie Gardens.

Congratulations to Joanna and Jesse!

Airlie Gardens – April 2, 2011

This sunny Spring wedding is so freshly picked from the garden, you’d never know the reception was held at the modern Cameron Arts Museum.  After a beautiful ceremony under tall magnolia trees at Airlie Gardens, the couple wanted to keep the vibe natural and down home.  They asked a family friend to make their cake and chose wooden slabs, lanterns, and mason jars with brightly colored flowers to sprinkle their table tops.  Their easy-going look is just so pretty that it excited Lemon and Lavender and was featured on their blog back in August.

Congratulations to April and Steven!

Airlie Gardens – May 14, 2011

It truly was a sweet day in May for this gorgeous couple.  After our first meeting with the bride and her mother, we had a hunch that this soiree would be picture perfect down to the smallest of details.  Fortunately for us, Chris Lang Photography brilliantly captured the eclectic mix of vintage and southern style from the bride’s stunning bouquet to the playful array of flowers and containers atop those extra long guest tables.

Congratulations to Jennifer and Mitchell!
