Delightful Details: Green & White Flowers

April 25th, 2013

Rhame_Clewis_ReeseMooreWeddings_a7176_0_lowInspired by our recent feature on the adorable blog “Every Last Detail” (and standing knee-deep in clouds of white hydrangea and bright green floral galore) this week’s post is all about this popular color combo’s ability to perk up every lovely detail. There is no doubt, nature’s green and white hues put a smile on every guests’ face...time after time.

1.) Nothing dresses a door better than an abundant hydrangea wreath. Charm….Charm…Charming!

I_0400 2.) Ooooh, this lovely mix of orchids, freesia, cabbage roses, calla lilies and spray roses, accented by tiny pops of green, is the perfect presentation of divine elegance.Knoll Wedding0053.) “Mums” the word on modern meets striking. I_03774.) Charm and contrast are at the forefront of this farm fresh design as bells, stock, ranunculus and hydrangea compliment the outdoorsy texture of pine and burlap.Rhame_Clewis_ReeseMooreWeddings_d2022_0_low5.) It doesn’t get sweeter than this, green orchids truly do create the most charming halo for little flower girls. I_06956.) Who says wreaths on cars (or golf carts) are only for Christmas? We absolutely adore this over sized, very fun detail.I_06837.) Never negate the timeless appeal of big blooms, abundance is never out of fashion when it comes to flowers (wink). I_06847.) This bouquet is a vision of timeless texture, perfectly fastened with a hint of tradition. Rhame_Clewis_ReeseMooreWeddings_d2461_0_low9.) Let’s not forget how appealing a well dressed groom can look dressed sharply in a charming array of spring flowers.

Lush & Lovely: Blush Tones, Corals and Greens

April 18th, 2013

0031Sometimes luxury needs no words to describe its essence. Our elegant couple Deidra and Bruce were every bit as lovely as they were refined. With their season straddling between the end of summer and the beginning of fall, Deidra’s request for soft coral hues and lush blooms couldn’t have been more picturesque with the setting sun over the lawn of Landfall Country Club. Our bride’s distinct eye for her wedding’s setting allowed us to incorporate rich, sumptuous flowers in a variety of textures, creating an array of colorful delights! Oh, how we loved this happy couple!00950065037600920196 03750248VENDOR ACCOLADES: Photography:Bella Rose Photography Venue:Country Club of Landfall

Modernly Refreshing, Green & White: Figure 8

April 11th, 2013

Lauren and Michael’s May 2012 wedding still leaves us giddy over all the attention to detail congenially fashioned together to give their guests a party they’d never forget (and we’re pretty sure they never will). Lauren’s vision of a simple, modern design full of abundance in the refreshing palette of green and white, accented by purple, allowed us the delightful opportunity to play. And oh boy, did we ever!  Not a detail was missed from the twinkling willow branches climbing the tent poles with smilax, to the sumptuous hydrangea & viburnum dangling from the chandeliers, to the varying lush table arrangements mirroring the enthusiasm and elegance of the couple themselves. One of the most endearing detail was the couple’s request to infuse family traditions into their aesthetic, Lauren’s family prayer-book delicately fastened with two gardenias was southern sentiment at its best…sigh…now, this was a party!

Hues of Coastal Blues: Figure 8

April 4th, 2013

September 15, 2012 – Brianna + Brian, Figure 8 Island NC

There is nothing more delightful than a lovely mix of blue hues offset by the complimenting contrast of white. Brianna and Brian “Tied the Knot” at Figure 8 Yacht Club with a crisp and classic aesthetic that left us pining to stay a wee bit longer and dance the night away.  Brianna’s vision for incorporating a coastal, natural design was the perfect inspiration for her venue’s understated elegance and her nautical inspired details. From Brian’s seersucker suit, to the to-die-for monogrammed cake, to Brianna’s sumptuous bouquet, this wedding was simply breathtaking!

Rachel + John: Preppy Pinks

September 28th, 2011

Kenan Chapel – June 4, 2011

This traditional and preppy couple wanted to stay true to the their Southern roots, serving up cheesy biscuits, classic flowers in whites and ivories with pink accents, traditional silver elements, and an old Wilmington trolley.  This wedding is just bursting with sweet Southern charm; so much so that it caught the eye of Style Me Pretty back in August.  Enjoy the romantic reception at The Surf Club, and yes, baby’s breath is oh so beautiful when clustered together.

Congratulations to Rachel and John!

Airlie Gardens – May 14, 2011

It truly was a sweet day in May for this gorgeous couple.  After our first meeting with the bride and her mother, we had a hunch that this soiree would be picture perfect down to the smallest of details.  Fortunately for us, Chris Lang Photography brilliantly captured the eclectic mix of vintage and southern style from the bride’s stunning bouquet to the playful array of flowers and containers atop those extra long guest tables.

Congratulations to Jennifer and Mitchell!
